Classes are available providing education on about mental illness like AA and Al Anon. 

Able SC https://www.able-sc.org - An excellent resource for those who are deaf. They are an advocacy nonprofit. There is no public guardianship system in SC. A Special Needs Trust will need to be set up and established. Also, an ABLE account will need to be set up which  will be used for the benefit of the patient.
